Why different costs for different stages of funding?

BOOTSTRAP/ When you’re just getting your idea off the ground you need a logo, but you shouldn’t spend a lot of time and money on your early identity and branding, especially since everything from your name and business direction to your target market may change more than once.

SEED/ As you begin to approach investors, you may need to refresh or redesign your branding. This branding refresh may introduce new elements like icons into your brand library. Yet further branding changes are still likely to occur after this stage, so it may not be the time to invest in comprehensive branding standards.

SERIES A+/ Now that you’ve closed a significant round of funding and are looking to scale and accelerate, your original bootstrap identity likely isn’t sufficient to carry your brand forward. It’s time to invest in a tighter brand, and robust brand resources that can keep pace with your fast growth and aggressive marketing.
